The Trainer
Dr. Ken Hebert
Dr. Ken Hebert has 30 years of experience in safety-critical software engineering, including optimized software processes, CMMI, and Agile/Scrum implementation. Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. in Computer Science. Extensive experience in the safety, systems, and architectural design of real-time, safety-critical defense and other military and civil aviation applications. Registered Scrum Master and CMMI software process expert. Experienced Process Improvement Leader with proven abilities to develop and manage process improvements effectively and efficiently. He has extensive experience in systems and software development methodologies ranging from Waterfall to Agile, and experience developing and deploying processes that integrate concepts embodied in DoD, NASA, ISO, AS, and FAA/EASA/military standards, as well as development frameworks such as CMMI and Lean/Six Sigma. He is Six Sigma Certified, a Certified Scrum Master, and a trained SCAMPI Lead Appraiser. He has led organizational changes to meet the requirements of numerous safety-critical systems and architectures based on commercial and defense software standards, including ARP4761, ARP4754A, DO-178C, AS-9115A, and AS-9100D. Dr. Hebert has trained over 10,000 aviation engineers for AFuzion Inc. worldwide.
